Cleaning House

Once I decided to jump onboard with this little project of mine, I figured I better start out "cleaning house."  With so many pins to choose from I had no idea where to begin.  So, instead of just jumping in I spent the evening last night cleaning out and arranging all of my folders.  This helped me for a variety of reasons.

First, I was able to eliminate duplicate pins from most folders.  To be honest there were a couple folders where I didn't even try.  There were just so many pins it would have been nearly impossible to go through and remember what was a duplicate and what wasn't.

Second, I was given a reminder as to what types of things I had pinned.  There were some super fun summer projects I had pinned back in winter that I had completely forgotten about.  This also put things fresh in my  mind, so that when I'm out and about I can remember to pick up things here and there to help  me accomplish some of these things.

One of the more fun things that happened is that I realized I had completed projects/recipes that I hadn't moved into their appropriate folders.  When I finished organizing everything I realized I had actually completed 37 things, not 34.  Okay, okay, I know that's only 3 additional items, but it's still more than I thought!

And one of the downers of the cleaning project was that I had to eliminate pins that are not possible to complete now.  For instance, since we are not planning to have any more children and my youngest is approaching 11 months there was no longer a need for those super cute newborn photo ideas...that never happened :(

When all was said and done I had new folders that categorized things better, deleted folders that weren't really used, and wrapped up the night with 3,070 pins.  What? You didn't think I was going to stop without adding new fun things did ya ;)
